PALAZZOS AND MONUMENTS

Every corner of Pitigliano has an ancient history, myths and legends to be discovered, from the alleys, to the historic buildings up to the ancient monuments.

The town’s highlight is the Palazzo Orsini, the official residence of the Counts Orsini in Pitigliano, overlooking the main square.

The Acquedotto Mediceo is also worth a look. You can see it from afar, thanks to its elegant arches. The aqueduct was built by the Orsini family and completed by the Medici to supply water to Pitigliano .

There’s also the Monument to the Seed Ursinea, dedicated to the noble Orsini family, and the Fountain of the Seven Spouts.

You can also see the ruins of WWII bombings for a taste of modern history.
